All Grad Research Symposium

Looking for a poster presentation to put on a CV, or a chance to see what your fellow graduate students are doing with their time?

Registration for presenters and attendees is occurring now. This is a fun day with its own free breakfast, lunch, and wine, and staff, faculty, and undergraduates are also welcome to attend.

AWIS foundation predoctoral fellowships

The Association for Women in Science has several $1,000 fellowships (some are earmarked specifically for San Diego residents) on offer. Fields include biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, engineering, and mathematics. Eligibility is limited to U.S. citizens.

ACS Organic Chemistry Fellowships

The Chancellor herself is interested in seeing UCSD's Chemistry PhD students apply for the ACS Organic Chemistry Division's Graduate Fellowships, which offer a $24,000/year stipend. Students need to use the awards during their third or fourth years of study. Nominations should be submitted by your dissertation supervisor, and applications are due in June. Here's the call:
